This event allows conditionally approved applicants to complete their mandatory in-person background interviews locally without traveling to a permanent enrollment center.
Step-by-Step Enrollment Process
- Create a Trusted Traveler Programs (TTP) Account with the Department of Homeland Security – Trusted Traveler Programs (TTP) Portal.
- Complete the application and pay the non-refundable program fee.
- Wait for Conditional Approval: Your background check must be clear, and your account status must change to “Conditionally Approved” before you can schedule an interview. Once submitted, 80% of applications are approved for the applicant to schedule an interview within two weeks while some applications can take up to 12 months or longer to be processed.
- All appointments are scheduled. Walk-in interviews are allowed with conditional approval. Wait time cannot be estimated as it depends on the number of appointments and walk-ins. Hours for walk-ins are 8 am – 3 pm CT.
What to Bring to your Appointment
- A valid U.S. Passport-this serves as your primary identity and citizenship proof
- Driver’s license, ID card, or a permanent resident card (if applicable)
